Holly Drewett graduated from the Royal College of Art, London with an MA in Printmaking.
She has exhibited widely, showing her work in the UK, Japan and Canada. She was recently awarded the East London Printmakers prize at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair.
Holly Drewett‘s practice is informed by ideas surrounding intuitive gesture and process of drawing. She investigates the choreography of the body in relationship to the process of making. Interested in the intuitive translation of sensory experiences, her recent work questions hierarchies of the body, communication and automation.
She explore ideas of layering and movement between surfaces and senses. The translation from one form to the next, the embodiment and export of the automatic and repeated gesture.
